Welcome
The 2015 Fall meeting of the Western States Section of the Combustion Institute (WSSCI) will be held at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.
Technical papers are solicited on all aspects of combustion and may cover a broad range of focus, from fundamental combustion phenomena to practical applications of combustion technology. Papers from industrial organizations are strongly encouraged.
BYU was estabilished in 1875 and is a large private university with 34,000 on-campus students. Additional information can be found here.
Meeting information
Location: The meeting will be held at the BYU Conference Center, Brigham Young University.
The Conference Center is on the South side of University Parkway.

Reception/Dinner: The reception/dinner on Monday evening is included in the registration fees.
The reception will be held in the BYU Skyroom
on the 6th floor of the Wilkinson Student Center, building 87, on the BYU campus map.
Take the elevators that are near the Cougar Eat food mall.
Program: The meeting program is available here and in the menu bar on the left.
Parking: Parking is available in the lot just West of the Conference Center. The signs indicate that a parking
pass is needed, but you do not need a parking pass for this meeting. Free visitor parking lots are also located
on North Campus Drive at the Museum of Art, and on 1100 N (an East-West road off 900 E.). See the BYU campus map for details.
WiFi: Internet access is available on the BYUGuest network. No password is required.
Tours: BYU Combustion Lab tours will be given on Tuesday at 12:40 PM. Meet in the Clyde Engineering Building
at the South West doors.
Deadlines
- Prospective authors should submit an abstract of 100 to 200 words by July 29, 2015.
- Authors will be notified of acceptance by August 12, 2015.
- Submission of full paper by
August 26, 2015Deadline extended to Monday Aug. 31. - Advance Registration by September 2, 2015.
- Student Travel Award Application by
September 2, 2015Deadline extended to Monday Sept 21.
